National Post – As he introduced Canadians to their first female finance minister on Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made clear that he and Chrystia Freeland were not about to waste the moment.

“As much as this pandemic is an unexpected challenge, it is also an unpredictable opportunity,” said Trudeau, as he unveiled Freeland as finance minister. “We can choose to embrace bold new solutions to the challenges we face and refuse to be held back by old ways of thinking.”

That means, in a word, spending. Lots of spending.
