MétéoMédia – High demand for luxury toilet paper is ruining Canada’s forests according to a new report. The paper, called “Issue With Tissue”, was written by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Stand Earth. It says big name brands use no recycled content in their toilet paper and are relying on clear-cut trees from the Canadian boreal forest. This puts native species like the lynx and boreal caribou at risk, while harming Indigenous communities.
