U.S.NEWS – After former President Donald Trump went through the painful, unprecedented process of being arrested, fingerprinted and booked on 34 felony counts in New York, Americans responded by being more supportive of the decision to charge him, according to a new Economist/YouGov poll. When the survey group asked Americans how they felt about the charges earlier in the week – after Trump’s indictment but before his historic appearance in front of a New York judge on Tuesday – half of Americans either “strongly” (35%) or “somewhat’ (15%) agreed with the grand jury’s vote to indict him, according to the poll.
