   that come my way
And knowing I can make a difference
By staying alive

Here for just a short time
Giving the best I can
Loving and caring and
Watching the world go by
That’s what keeps my heart beating
That’s what keeps me alive

There’s so much that keeps me going
The beauty that surrounds me
The music that plays in my mind
Those are the things that
   keep my heart beating
That’s what keeps me alive

When my time comes
and I take my final breath,
I will raise my glass
to the friends and loved ones
who kept my heart beating
who kept me alive.
